I'm interesting in teaching Flash animation.  I have a decent amount of studio
experience (given how long I've been in the field) and I used Flash a lot at
home but my official training was in Classical Animation and Flash was only a
small crash course so I'm more or less self taught.  I was told that regardless
of my working knowledge I would need official certification to prove I'm
capable enough to teach it.  I wouldn't be surprised if this is true but I
haven't been able to find much info on it.

Does anybody know if this is true and if so how do I go about getting
certified?

I imagine it varies from job to job on the requirements but here's a link to Adobe certification:
