I have through years maintained a site which was created in flash 8. Now I have installed Flash CS3 and the file size of the swf-files has increased dramatical. The .fla file has still the same size, but the swf is much bigger in CS3. The publish settings looks fine and is off course the same as in the flash 8 version. In flash 8 the swf-file was about 1 mb but in flash cs3 the swf is about 15 mb. I hav tried to adjust on the compression but the swf-file size is still the same. Is there a bug in the application? I also tried to save and compact but with no result Can anybody help? I had the same problem in the beginning. I solved it by checking the embedded fonts. The font Microsoft Sans was totally embedded and when I changed this to embed only the basic characters, my file went from 15 mb to 700kb.. Maybe this works for you. |
