I have been unable to install flash player for ie7 for some time now. I have
tried countless solutions and all have failed. I have tried almost all the
solutions in the kb and technotes and cant find one that works. I have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling.
Days ago I was prompted to upgrade to flashplayer 9, and so I did. No errors!
Message reads "installation complete." But when I go try to access a video clip
or music player from my home page, I get the following  message ..

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of
Macromedia's Flash Player. Click here to get the latest flash player. "

I verified my javascript is enabled in internet options. I click on the link
and it takes me to the same installation page. I've been stuck in this cycle
for days.
I checked my ctrl panel>add/remove programs ..
there's an adobe plugin icon with a small (x) above it. (not sure if that
means anything).
also NOTE: I tried the instll under Mozill FireFox and it works perfectly. But
why not with IE 7?
Where did I go wrong?

Thanks,
Deric

I have the same issue.
I go to the website to download flash player, then click on download and install button, and it just refreshes the page. HELP!!!

I have the same problem since upgrading via microsoft automatic updates to
Windows XP SP3 and following instructions to upgrade to Flash version 9.0.0.124
...  Flash content doesn't load, or when it does it triggers an error message
in IE7 with flash9f.ocx and IE7 shuts down. I have followed all the recommended
fixes in the adobe kb, still not working. There's numerous references to this
on the microsoft SP3 forum too

did you use the adobe flashplayer uninstaller to uninstall first? its the only way it would work for me.
