It sounds as though you've installed or updated the Flash player, not the
program. You shouldn't notice it at all. It will simply play the Flash content
in websites (or Flash downloads) and not tell you that you need to install a
plugin.

If you mean the program itself, you should get a book or online tutorial,
learn the basics and see if you like it. Unless you really love it or need to
learn how to animate or program in it, there's no reason to learn it.
