I use the Dutch version of Classroom in a book Flash CS3, and the
English version of Flash, on an updated Windows Vista pc (ServicePack1 NOT
installed).
The lesson is about making an animation of a glass of sparkling water.
I created the glass and the first bubble - so far, so good.
But then I have to copy the bubble a couple of times, into new timelines
(layers).
According to the book I select the tweened frames in the first bubble-frame
and drag it (holding the Alt-key) to the next layer. According to the book in
that new layer the same animation should appear (a pink section with a solid
line in it from start to end of the pink section).
However, in my workspace I get a pink section all the way to the end of the
new layer, with a dotted line in it.
See http://www.frankma.nl/download/flash001.jpg.
Furthermore there's a warning sign next to the edit button, telling me:
Motion tweening will not occur on layers with ungrouped shapes or on layers
with more than one group or symbol.
Not to mention that the animation for this second layer does not work.
I tried the same lesson on my backup pc, using Win XP, with the same results.

Is there anything I can do about it? Is the text in the book wrong, should I
use any special settings in Flash or...

I found out myself by accident: I did not select the last frame (the one with
the black dot in it).
So: do not select just the pink frames, but also the frame with the dot, right
after the pink frames...
