i am running a mac os 10.4.6 w/ an intel processor and yesterday updated flash
to 9.0. now, everytime i open a webpage with flash content on it (firefox or
safari), it crashes the browser. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling
several times, and nothing seems to work. can somebody please help me? thank
you.

You didn't fully update.  Save your bookmarks, download new .dmg's for the
browsers, close all programs, reinstall the browsers.

Maybe even trash your old browsers and browser preferences before
reinstalling. (This should not be necessary, but it's the next thing you should
try if Plan A doesn't work.)
