I have CS3 on a PB G4 with 1.5 GHz. When I run Flash, and switch from say one software back to Flash, I get the beachball for 20 seconds. Do I need more RAM?

I don't know. How much RAM do you have?

I think that is max amount you can have in that computer. So I don't think
there is much you can do in that area.

I had CS3 on a PBG4 1.67 GHz with 2 GB and it worked pretty well. It might be
your hard drive. How full is it and what speed does it spin? Again not really
anything you can do about that -- or at least not easily.

Are you running Tiger or Leopard?

My HD has 26 GB free . Not sure about how to check the spin speed? I am using Leopord, It use to do this before on CS2 Flash with Tiger on 1GB RAM! Thanks again.

I am having the same problem.

12" PowerBook G4
1.25 GB RAM (That is the max on this model)
160 GB Hard Drive @ 5400 RPM
1.33 GHz
Over 130 GB Available on HD

I didn't have this problem with Flash 8, but this issue pretty much makes CS3
a binary anchor that is about to be thrown overboard. The program is responsive
when using it, but a quick trip to any other app turns into a game of watch the
beach ball.

I would love to know if anyone found a solution.
