Can anyone direct me to somewhere where I may get an easy to use flash page
flip component?  I'd like to use the page flip effect to create a sort of
magazine but I can't find a free one/one that I can figure out how to use.

Search the forum for "page flip", it's very regular topic, personally reply to
it just few days ago...

Hey wow thanks this looks awesome.  One question though.  Alot of my content
comes from pdf's where instead of getting each page I actually get a left and
right page as one.  Is there anyway to make it split them or do I have to
manually split them?

Unfortunately you will need to do it manually. But the good thing is, you can
screen shot the pdf as jpg/gif or png and load it dynamically.

When I try and make it larger (600x800 instead of 300x400) I make sure to
resize all of the images and it looks fine except for when I try to turn a
page, the opposite corner also seems to peel off too. This doesn't happen at
normal size. What could I have forgotten to change?

Can you zip it all and upload to some server?
No need to include all the images, just one or two just to see the problem.
Will check it out for you.
