Hi all, I was working on a FLA file, when suddenly Flash stopped publishing it.
When I try publishing I see the SWF file appear, then disappear. I don't get
any errors. I tried undoing all my changes and returned to the previous version
when publishing still worked, but still nothing. Is it a Flash bug? Does anyone
have a solution? HELP!!!

As an addendum, I tried using an older backed-up version of the same file which
worked fine for a while, but after a few compiles, it too stopped working.
"Debug movie" doesn' work either. I've played around with Publish Settings, but
nothing. I can't just throw away my work like that! Does anyone have any idea
what to do?

Hi, I have the same problem with Flash not publishing. Were you able to resolve the problem?
Thanks

Whats happens when you preview it first?
Flashworks9977 - 12 Jun 2008 00:04 GMT
I can't preview it! When I try to Test the movie it goes through the motions but doesn't create the SWF file or bing up Flash Player. No error message.

I have had a similiar problem. When I went to test or publish to get a swf, flash would shut down. It usually means your computer doesn't have enough memory to run flash properly.

Yes probably are you running windows vista?
Flashworks9977 - 12 Jun 2008 19:07 GMT
No, I am running XP. I found a work around. I took an old FLA file and
imported the library from the new FLA and replaced the modified pages and
symbols. that worked. The FLA file must get corrupt some how.

I'm having a problem publishing .swf files as well. It says I can't publish a file that is more than 16000 frames. Is there anything I can do to change this?
