Hi,

I began getting "NetConnection.Call.Failed" error in Flash Remoting NetConnection Debugger when I switched to Flash MX 2004. It worked fine in previous Flash MX.

The possible reason for this problem I found on macromedia's site (see below) does not describe the situation correctly - because server is up and URL to the gateway is correct.

Error: "NetConnection.Call.Failed"
Problem: The server is not running or the URL to the gateway is not correct. No connection can be established to the gateway.

Moreover when I'm running application from a web browser player - remoting works - everything fine!
Described problem is happening only when I'm running the application from Flash MX 2004 environment.

If anyone had the same problem and knows a solution, please share.

Thanks,
Max

Sorry, I'm having exactly the same problem and also can't find any doco on NetConnection.Call.Prohibited an came looking here for a solution.

The remote server is running CFMX6.1, and is still serving up a couple of my pre FMX 2004 Pro Remoting sites without any problems. I'm wondering what's changed in using FMX 2004 Pro that's breaking it.

Calling all Macromedia FMX Remoting people ... help!

Hello,

I found the reason of my problem: it is https protocol: I was trying to use virtual host with ssl support for gateway url in NetServices.setDefaultGatewayUrl(...) method and it happens that it does not work in MX 2004; after I switched to regular http virtual host - it began to work fine again.

Thanks,
Max

Yeah I'm not using https at all in this app, so I don't think that's what happening for me. Thanks anyway.
