I 've spent hours trying to find any posts about how to make work the
damn -flarem.net - thing on the new windows 2003 server... The installation
worked perfectly and everything seems to be in its right place, but... But
when i try to open the sample page, just to see if the stuff works, it hangs
only showing me the  "loading..." text. I upgraded with the latest things
(components AS 2.0, flash 7.2,...) just to see if there was just a problem
with the old setup... still nothing.
Is there something to do with configuring IIS6 or something? Does anyone had
come up with a similar issue?
Any help would be appreciated!!!
Ah! The same never happened on my production workstation which still uses
II5.1...
Thanks
Ryan

Hi,

I also have problems getting flash remoting to work on Windows 2003. It looks
like I have the same problem as plastical, on windows 2000 Server flash
remoting works as designed. However, after moving the code to windows 2003, the
return values do not make their way back to the flash movie.

The gateway is OK, since i do not get an error message, the ASP.net code is
also OK, database connections work, the standard ASP.Net controls give values
back, only the Flash.Result does not work.

I am very interested in the solution, however my Italian is quite rusty. If it
is not too much to ask, could you give me a brief explanation of the solution
y'all came up with?

Thanks a lot for your help,

-Rogier

Hi Roedeke,
Still haven't found a solution for that problem... I just left the site with a
redirection on an older server.
It seems to me that on macromedia their are not so enthusiastic with the new
OS server from Microsoft, 'cause I haven't found any posts or comments
regarding this problem.
IMHO, I think there's a "hack" to make it work playing with the IIS6
configuration set, most probably on the web services tab (maybe adding the
flashremoting.dll as a trustful service), but I've not seen any result.
I'm still waiting for a reply in italian and I'd be glad to help you as soon
as I receive a reply.
