I'm new to Flash Remoting & CF. If I understand correctly, you have to use CF with FR in order to connect and retrieve data from a Database on a server. I'm interested in FR but, I'm just small time and find the cost of FR and CF to be way too high. Are there any alternatives for Flash Web Application Development? Thanks! Rob Hi Rob, Flash Remoting is included with ColdFusion MX, so there's no extra cost. As long as you can afford a shared server running CFMX (usually $20 to $50 per month depending on features), you can use Flash Remoting.
