I was just wondering if there is a way to directly connect a Flash program (web
based or not) to a database without a scripting page such as PHP, JAVA, ASP...
I don't think you can, but I would like to be totally sure there isn't a way.

I am no expert on Flash but I have also searched for such a solution with no success. I don't think it is possible. :(

I don't think there is any direct way to connect to database from Flash. A server side scripting language is required for connection to database.
