web services only work in player

i have published my test swf to my server, when i open it in the flash player,
i am able to send and recieve data no problem. when i try to use the url in my
browser, it seems i am not able to send or recieve any data. any ideas?

please? i have been killing myself with this one already.

What you have run into is the sandbox security in the player, that the
development environment does not have. Basically the player restricts access
to a web service only on the same domain as the flash file. This article
explains it and also links to a way around it
