Hi,  When I try to view one of the sample flash remoting asp.net applications
it displays the loading screen and then doesn't progress any further. The files
are in the default directory Inetpub\wwwroot\flashremoting\samples where setup
installs them to, what do I need to do to get the sample applications to work?

I have the EXACT same problem. Did you end up resolving this issue?

Yeah, although the web services still don't work under .net 1.1. Flash remoting
needs updating but macromedia seem busy with flex. Think the way I got it
working was to install flash remoting .net, uninstall .net 1.1 and then
reinstall .net 1.1. Let me know if this works for you.

Unfortunately, uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1 did
not solve my problem. I did as you suggested and it still does not work.

I have heard that Windows XP SP2 might have something to do with FlashRemoting
not working. Do you have Windows XP SP2 installed?

Had the same problem. The fix for me was to set the properties for the
Flashremoting directory in IIS Manager to allow Scripts and Executables to run,
that option is under Executable Permissions in IIS Manager.  Hope that helps

Can also try enabling parent paths, possibly anonomous access as well, if
running ntfs allowing the aspnet or web applications account to have write
access to the bin directory, install .net 1.1 sdk.  Still, didn't manage to get
the example web services to work (with flash remoting). Would definetely
recomend flashorb though, seems to be currently better supported than flash
remoting and has more functionality at present. Although sure macromedia will
update the .net support when they release flex for .net.  Got my webservices
working with flashorb quickly, and now passing custom objects a lot easier than
in flash remoting. http://www.flashorb.com/docs/introduction/comparison.htm
