I am using Windows XP and Flash MX Professional 2004.
I just tried to do some Flash Remoting for the first time.
I went to
http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashremoting/downloads/components/ to
install Flash Remoting for the first time.
I chose ?Flash Remoting Component for ActionScript 2.0?.

Once it was installed, I noticed several changes on my Flash which made me
assume that the installation was successful.
Those changes were:
1. There was a new component called ?RemotingConnector?.
2. There was a folder called ?Remoting? in the actions toolbox.
3. There was NetConnection Debugger inside Windows>Other Panels.
 
I then started to type: #include ?NetServices.as?
When I did the spelling check, an error appeared: ?**Error** Scene=Scene 1,
layer=Layer 1, frame=1:Error opening include file NetServices.as: File not
found.?
The same thing also happened when I tried: #include ?NetDebug.as?

I tried to check several things which confused me more.
1. There was no subdirectory ?Include? inside C:\Program
Files\Macromedia\Flash MX 2004\en\Configuration. An article on  Macromedia?s
site stated that several ActionScript files (including NetServices.as and
NetDebug.as) were installed in {Flash MX 2004 Install}\Configuration\Include
during the installation process.
2. I tried to search the files NetServices.as in my harddisk. There was no
result found.
 3. I tried to search the files NetDebug.as. Two results came but they were in
C:\ Program Files\Macromedia\Flash MX 2004\en\First
Run\Classes\mx\remoting\debug and C:\ Program Files\Macromedia\Flash MX
2004\en\First Run\Classes\mx\remoting\debug\events.
 
But when I open my browser and typed
http://localhost:8500/flashservices/gateway a blank page instead of an error
message came out which according to Macromedia?s site it showed that I had been
successfully installing Flash Remoting.

I also tried to uninstall and reinstalled Flash Remoting several times and
reboot my computer after each installation but there was no difference at all.

Does anyboby have any idea what caused these? Did I miss something or did
something wrong?
