I have been tasked with modifying an existing flash 8 movie. The client needs a
BOATLOAD of images added, photo gallery style. I knew this would be a problem,
but I was hoping against hope that it would still load in an acceptable amount
of time.

Well, just as I expected, it takes FOREVER to load. Actually, it loads
acceptably fast on my connection at home, but from my connection at work (and
from the client's connection) it really takes awhile. The swf is about 2.4 MB.
You can see it at http://www.cjreynolds.com/fuda.html

This could be separated into 3 or 4 swfs, which I'm thinking would improve the
load time, or I could load external images.

Does anyone know of a tutorial that explains either of these techniques?

If it helps, you can download the fla from  http://www.cjreynolds.com/fuda.zip

Thanks,

joe
