Webmaster Forum / Flash / Flash Site Design / February 2007

I'm farily new to Flash. We bought Flash MX 2004 about 2 years ago, and have
used it for a few different projects, but we are just no getting around to
redesigning our website (and boy did it need it!) using several Flash elements.
Ever since the Flash 8 player came out there is a "click to activate" function
on Flash content on websites when using Internet Explorer, and I really don't
like this. It takes away a lot of the feel fo the site.

You'll see that a lot of the navigation for the site is in flash, and an
additional "click to activate" is annoying, and takes away from what I had in
mind when designing the site.  

I know there has to be a way around this, for instance this site:
http://www.startrekonline.com (yeah, I'm a geek :)) has flash content and you
don't have to click on it to activate it. I'm not sure exactly how they did
this though.

Can anyone offer any help in this area?
