Hi

Probably like everyone else I create my webdesign concepts in photoshop. As I
design I'll think about how I'm going to slice it up and fit the graphics into
tables. Simple...

I've started using flash more and want to do my graphics in photoshop before
importing them into flash. My problem is that things look great in photoshop
but when I want to save graphics out of photoshop and then import them into
flash I don't achieve the same look I had when things were layered in photoshop.

What's the best practice here?

dude i see your prob yeah. Well how often have you used PNG format? This is i
would say works the best, they are relatively light in flash and with
compression dont look too bad at all. That way you can export each layer
sepertaely from photoshop to flash. Another method is to use Illustrator and
export stuff as swf, either way works quite well.

I had a bash with a couple of graphics I created and the result is spot on.

In photoshop I was presented with the option to save either as interlaced or
the default (non-interlaced)...I tried both anyway and both pngs look great in
flash when layered on top of a background (also created in photoshop and saved
out as a jpg). I'm chuffed to bits.

I haven't used Illustrator (yet) but plan to add it to my design arsenal
sooner rather than later. What's the deal here?
Do I save my layer in photoshop as a png again and then open it in illustrator
before exporting it as a swf?
