I am not a frequent user of Firefox, but I have just noticed a problem and have
no idea how to fix it:

Any site with SWFs embedded into the HTML works perfectly. But when there is a
popup SWF or FLV (one not embedded in an HTML file), Firefox tries to open it
in Windows Media Player! I do have popups enabled in Firefox. SWFs anf FLVs are
registered properly in the computer's registry (that is, double-clicking a SWF
in Windows Explorer correctly plays the movie in the Flash Player). Only SWF or
FLV popups in Firefox won't work.

So this is a Firefox-only problem. Any idea how to associate SWF and FLV
popups with the Flash Player in Firefox?

What version of FF do you have?  1.5 or the newly released version 2?

In 2 it is

Tools -> Options -> Content -> At bottom of menu there is an option for File
Types and a button that says Manage.

I don't have 1.5 anymore but it is something similar.

If you havent upgraded to 2 yet, do so because there is many enhancements and
speed increase.
