I have built a webside in flash but the swf file is to big(5MB) and it takes to
much time to load it. It onley contains 8 pictures, some buttons, and a
standard coloured background. What can I do to make it smaller???

im not sure why your swf file is so big, this is not normal, i have built a few
pages of a website in flash and its only 29kb. mine has 2 pictures and a few
buttons also. how big are your images and be sure that the page you are looking
at is at 100%. try to resize your images in an image editor and optimise them
when exporting.
hope that helps

the link you gave doesn't work...

it does work - it's just the the word wrap broke the link - just
copy/paste the first half and then the 2nd half into address field of
browser.

you need to learn about file size managament - not just related to flash
but related to images in general - user's disply and
dimensions/resolution of bitmaps, optimization, etc.....this is clearly
why many hate flash because it's too easy for someone to import a ton of
assets and create a huge flash movie and then try to put it on the web.

can you provide your FLA or at least explain in detail the specifics
about the assets you used (file size, dimensions, etc...)
