Hi,

I have a problem loading remote XML file into SWF file.
Im doing a banner for a client with adds that is supose to load constantly
updated XML file from my clients server and load some images into flash form
it.
Everything works fine when i test the movie (CTRL+ENTER), but when i publish
it and test it from explorer, XML file is just not loading into flash.

Any ideas!??

tnx

Be sure you uploaded the XML file.
Be sure your XML file (URL) name is case exact if you are using a Linux or any
non-Windows server.
Be sure all the other assets the XML is loading are on the server.
Create a TextField on the swf and output the URL for the XML.load.

Everything checks out.
It works fine when i test the movie from flash so i guess everything is in
order.
XML file is dynamicly generated on clients remote server.
The problem is when i click on SWF file in file manager or open it with
explorer.
Data just doesnt load. It would be much easier if connection doesnt work at
all, even from movie testing... :|

myComputer::Flash::Test movie  <------- Client server:XML    WORKING
myComputer::file browser::SWF <------- Client server:XML   NOT WORKING
MyWebServer::HTML <---------------- Client server:XML   NOT WORKING

i have a feeling that its some sort of security issue?!?

Outside of authoring if swf is on one domain and xml is on another you may need to create a http://livedocs.macromedia.com/flash/8/main/00001621.html

Seems to be working in FireFox. There is a vertical column of images and text that scrolls up every so often.

Perhaps your cache is using an outdated version.
