what to use rather than deprecated "align"

Whats the replacement for align="center" on a div ?

Or, in some circumstances, give a width to the div and auto
margin left and right.

You need to distingish between the div itself and the text within
it. A div can be centered yet the text not. Did you give a URL?
Anyway, I'm off to the beach... I swear to God, right now, you
folks in the northern hemi would just swoon to see what a day it
is in Sydney right now.
