Hi all,
I am having problems loading background images on my pages. I have
created a css to display the images. It works just fine on my test box,
but when I tried on real pages it wont upload any images everythin else
displays just fine. I used a table and added a background image to
every row. when i call the page it shows that it is preloading images
but never displays. I have tried to place the css code on the page
itself as well. the code for my CSS.html is as follows:

.style_slice5 { background-image:url(images/ADSS_Layout-05.jpg);
       background-repeat: no-repeat }
.style_slice6 { background-image:url(images/ADSS_Layout-06.jpg);
       background-repeat: no-repeat }
.style_slice7 { background-image:url(images/ADSS_Layout-07.jpg);
       background-repeat: no-repeat }
.style_slice8 { background-image:url(images/ADSS_Layout-08.jpg);
       background-repeat: no-repeat }
On the pages I used <link href="/styles.css" rel="stylesheet"
type="text/css"> to call it.
can anyone help?

thanks in advance.

I think a short look on the patient will quickly result in an accurate
diagnose ;-)
(iow: can you show a URL?)

You're welcome.

Hi Els:
I cant give out the URL cause it is a clients box. Its a secure url. I
have the images as background in the cells <td>. but the thing is when
I put the images on the cell without the css it pulls it up. the path
for the images are good and complete. Also it onle gave some problems
when I added data to the application. on the test box it worked just
fine. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi ribinha - please can you quote the relevant part of the message
you're replying to? It makes it easier (or even possible) to figure
out what you are talking about.

No idea what you mean by that.

I can't help if I don't see any code.
The above description doesn't do it for me. My guess is that either
you uploaded the images to the wrong directory, or else, the paths are
wrong. Another possibility is that there is some kind of block (by IP
or referrer maybe) which accidentally was left in the .htaccess after
development of the site.

Did it work on the client's box before you added data? If that's the
case, you should look at the differences of the pages between before
and after adding the data.

Why don't you make a copy with different images, different text, just
as an example (must have the problem in it though), and put that up
somewhere where we can see it?
