FireFox CSS overflow on table cells versus MSIE

I have question regarding CSS overflow atribute.

which works fine in IE as i want it to, but not in Mozilla/Firefox 1.03.

Although i have overflow set on DIV to scroll, Mozilla Firefox1.03
doesnt respect that and if there is taller content in the INNER TABLE
than that of 100% of the div (that is 100% of the page table), the inner
TABLE is not "scrolled", but makes the height to expand by which it
makes the outermost "pagetable" alst to expand in height (which becames
taller than the browser area) which ruins the layout completely.

You are relying on quirks mode rendering, which is not a solid base. For
vertical percentage heights to work, the outer container should have a
defined height according to the CSS spec. If you add a 100% height to the
BODY or HTML element, the viewport size will be used in most browsers.
