Small spacing difference in IE and FF

Hi there everyone!

I have a problem with the spacing on a site! The space between the
bottomdivs and the copyrightdivs are different in IE 6 and FF! It is
much more in IE 6! How come?

Do no mind the shity coding, I haven't cleaned anything yet. It is just
a layout modul..and maybe it looks really really strange in most
browsers but this is a later issue..For now I just want it to work with
IE6..

Most likely because you didn't define the margins/paddings on those
elements.

I haven't seen your code, but any mistake / invalid code can have
weird side effects. Best to use a Strict doctype, and validate your
page, before you start noticing differences. At least that way you
don't waste half an hour on a problem that doesn't exist if your code
were valid. (not saying that this is the case now btw, I haven't seen
your code)

nitromedia.se doesn't resolve from where I am.

Yeah, my server just went down! Typical!

I use XHTML trans and errors there I know where they are from...I'll
look at the padding/margins when it is online again...Is there a general
rule for IE with padding/margin?

Please take a look when it is working again.

You don't honestly think I'm gonna spend time to regularly check if
your site is back online, do you?

You wait for it to be online, then you fix the errors, then you check
your problem, and then you ask again. It's your site, not ours :-)
