Missing Administrator Navigation Pane

I have a production webserver running Redhat 3ES, Apache 2, and MySQL. I have
installed ColdFusion as the database to web gateway after testing the whole set
up locally on Redhat Fedora 2.

For some reason the navigation pane of the administrator on the production
server is either taking a long time to appear or, when at my office, not
appearing at all due to a timeout error through ISA.

Can anyone give me some idea of where I should be looking.

I would note that when loading the Administrator for the first time, it timed
out on the RDS setup and would not allow me to install. However, because I did
not want RS on the production server, I just continued through the install

Regards

Richard

are you accessing via SSL?

There's a hotfix for this behaviour, see http://www.macromedia.com/support/coldfusion/ts/documents/tn17883.htm

I am not using SSL - but even so, I tried the fix and it made no difference.

The issue is not that it does not work at all - but that it takes 5 minutes or
so before it decides to bring up the left pane. No error messages are given
