CF can't find component - Newbie

Could not find the ColdFusion Component

Can someone advise - thanks

Have you verified that the path is correct? Have you tested with
<i>localhost:8500</i>  in place of <i>localhost</i>? In any case you apparently
attempted to invoke the CFM file, tripdetail_lesson6_ex1.cfm, as a component.
That can't be right.

I have had some hassles so I am going to reinstall CF. But I need to know which folder to put it in
xampp/apache/htdocs
or
xampp/htdocs.

I would suggest neither. I think you should install Coldfusion in the server
root. Just follow the default installation instructions and it should be fine.
