:confused;  HELP!!

Re-Installing CF MX 5.0 Server on XP Media Center Edition system using IIS.

CF was running on system, prior to un-installation.  When trying to
re-install, installation keeps hanging during the "installing services"
portion.  Can only break out of instal by ending program through "Windows Task
Manager."  When trying to resume instal, or to uninstall, get error:  "this
version does not support upgrading."  Must delete CF directory and remove
registry entries manually to remove it.

Have noticed that while the IIS service is running on system, "FTP Server" &
"World Wide Web Publishing" services get stuck on "Starting" and never make it
to "Started."  Have tried removing IIS and re-installing it to no avail; in
fact, now that instal hangs unless I leave out FTP.  Have tried restoring "Last
Known Good" registry to no avail, as well.

Would be very grateful for any help.  Thanks.

Yes, I am having the exact same problem. I was installing CF MX 5.0 and the
install hung and/or  froze my computer. There is no uninstall as the program
didn't finish installing. Trying to reinstall results in the "this setup is not
for upgrades, setup will now close". I downloaded MX 7 and it doesn't help
either. I figured it'd overide the previous version but no.

PLEASE help. Much Love In Christ,

Andrew.
