Hello,

First off, many thanks to those people who have answered my questions in the
last couple of weeks. ITs been an enormous help and keeps me in check about
what exactly I'm capable of.

I have another question so I'll take the liberty of asking it.

My new site requires that users can upload their own avatar(not for use in
forums but just in their user profile).  And to be honest I'm at a bit of a
loss how to do it   :-(

I've had a nose around CFfile but am struggling with the concepts and how to
test it etc...   again it brings into question other things.

Files with the same names etc.... Each username is unique, so do I rename the
users file as their username?  And then how do I distinguish between users who
have uploaded gif's or JPegs when they are called.  And what about file sizes
and image dimensions?????

Also,  some of these off the shelf packages allow for users to enter URL's as
the location for their file name.  So do I offer this as an alternative as well.

Whats the accepted wisdom on this?

Many thanks in advance.  Keith
